At 9:50 I was met by Macelo who escorted me about three blocks to the Binational center to teach a class. They were interested in learning how to find the insides of character so we did exercises, talk and improvs for two hours. Pilar who is in charge wants to start a drama school so we will have lunch next Monday.
I came back ate some lite lunch and lay down but didn't sleep. Had a small headache and that continued for the rest of the day. We went up and did our work with the actors...it was raining when we left and half way up the mountain the cab couldn't go engage so Kerry, Dennis and I walked a ways. Then I got back in and Kerry and Dennis walked a ways. Dennis was feeling very poorly. Ann and Dennis left early, Chris stayed behind to catch up on business and sleep. After the workshop, Kerry and Rebecca and I went up to Ivan Nogales' apartment and had tea with him and Coral and a friend of theirs. I understood much of the Spanish but couldn't speak very much, in fact in rehearsal I started speaking French without realizing it. So a long way to go there still. We took a cab back with the friend but only got part way back and dropped off. We walked the rest of the way. Some papers fell out of my binder, like my script and so I have to get a new copy made for Saturday. Felt much better when we got back, Kerry and I watched a movie and had home made Spaghetti with doctored sauce from the store and ground ox meat. It was...interesting...got to bed about 2am.
